By Gillian Gahagan
I just received this pack, as I thought it would be a great pack that I could use mostly for mountain biking. It has lots of storage which is great for around my area as we have inclement weather most of the year, so I often need to take a rain jacket or other extra gear. Anyway, I would have loved it, but it is built for a much larger person. I am a 5'5 woman of average weight, and If I adjusted the straps to be small enough, the chest strap cut across my chest in an awkward place for a lady! However, It's going to fit my 6'4 husband perfectly, and he's going to love it as a Christmas gift, so I'm going to keep it. However, if you are a smaller man or woman, like under 5'8 or 5'9, I don't think this pack will fit you.
Cheers!

By matt easton
I purchased this item as a smaller alternative for short day hikes and over-nighters. I was not disappointed. Once I figured out what was what, I moved to stuffing it as full as can be. Eventually I whittled it down and got to just what I needed. My setup for the pack is ever changing, ever shrinking. The water bladder is a hassle to clean, but I imagine most water bladders to pose similar difficulty. It does get easier with each cleaning.
Having had the bag for over 2 months now, I think it safe to say that it's a keeper. One suggestion I would make to the manufacturer however, is to reinforce the attachment points for the elastic sling on the front of the pack. I tore one of mine quite easily with a moderate amount of force, which I expected it to be able to withstand.
The built-in rainfly is awesome but it is only just big enough for the pack and whatever may be hanging closely attached. Anything too large will make the fit of the fly too snug to rely on.
The inclusion of a zipper buckle on the chest strap is a nice bonus.
All in all great product. Way cheaper than a Camelbak and just as feature rich.

This bag is great to wear, comfortable for sports (hiking/skiing) but becuase of the padding on the straps/back, I have used it to carry a small laptop or Ipad and a change of clothes.
The water sac is great. The build quality is strong, only complaint is the zippers feel like they may not hold up over really heavy use.
